The best thing about being a Brighton family photographer is getting to meet the warm little squidgy bundles of love, smelling of warm milk and washing powder.. they are just so delicious! I think it’s so important to capture those chubby thigh and arm rolls, and their tiny fingers and toes. My daughter is now 9 months old, and I regret not taking enough photographs of her when she was newborn as she has changed so much already.
So it was an absolute delight to capture baby Rory, at home with his parents and incredibly energetic dog! I prefer to photograph families in their homes, rather than a studio, as everyone is so much more relaxed. The baby can sleep, feed or play, and I will just snap away. Half way through the shoot Rory just drifted off to sleep on his dads chest, which is one of my favourite photos.
