It’s taken me so long to blog Edd and Asia’s pregnancy photo shoot that their lovely baby is now 4 months old!
It was quite a chilly and windy Saturday afternoon when we took a toll along Shoreham Beach, and the sun was setting which gave the sky a lovely warm tone, and even better it was completely deserted (a rare thing on a Sussex beach usually!). It’s always such a lovely moment to capture for a couple- those final weeks of pregnancy when your back is sore, you’re sleep deprived, and you’re a mixture of nerves and excitement. Edd and Asia are such a gorgeous couple and completely natural in front of the camera.
My daughter’s nearly 18 months now, I felt absolutely enormous at the end of my pregnancy, and hated every iPhone photo I had taken of myself. However I knew the importance of capturing that period of my life, and booked a pregnancy photo shoot myself, and I was so glad I did. It’s fair to say that some moments are worth capturing properly, an iPhone selfie will never match up to the quality and style of professional images.
To top it off, at the end of the shoot Edd and Asia asked me if I’d be interested in being their birth photographer too. Which took 0.5 seconds to think about. YES!!!!!! I’d never photographed a birth before, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for the last couple of years. It’s much more popular in America than it is here, but it is starting to catch on.
If you’re interested in having a pregnancy photo shoot, or discussing the possibility of birth photography, I’d be delighted to hear from you!
