Flic & Rich | Ravenswood Hotel Weddings in Sharpethorne

It was an amazingly hot and sunny day for Felicity and Richard’s August wedding. Their two adorable daughters (the youngest wasn’t happy about putting on her dress… and picked her nose through most of the ceremony!) were flower girls alongside two of their nieces, and Flic’s best friend was bridesmaid (she had fabulous curly hair and bright red lippy… I love the 50’s look!)

The ceremony was held at the Holy Trinity church in Eridge, and the Reverend was Flic’s aunt! What a wonderful opportunity to be married by a family member, and it was a very touching ceremony as a result. They chose bubbles instead of confetti, which is becoming increasingly more popular as a lot of churches don’t permit you to throw confetti (boo!)

The reception was at The Ravenswood Hotel in Sharpethorne, which offered beautiful grounds for the kids to run around and play in. When you plan an August wedding you hope for sunshine, and they certainly had this in an abundance! Did you have sun of your summer wedding? I’m getting married this summer, and after researching the history of the weather in June over the last 6 years (i know… i get a bit research crazy at times!) I’ve realised that it’s totally unpredictable. So all i can do it keep my fingers crossed… eek.
