Seaside Wedding On Eastbourne Pier

Lizzie and Keiron have been living in New York for the last few years, so choosing to return home to Sussex for their gorgeous Seaside Wedding on Eastbourne Pier last summer, it was clear that it was going to be an emotional day.

Gathering together family and friends that they are unable to see much of now due to their relocation was bound to bring on lots of extra hugs and tears. However i didn’t quite expect the emotions of the day to hit me as much as they did! What a wonderful outpouring of love was felt throughout the whole day, it was truly touching and an honor to witness.

The day started in Eastbourne at the stunning seafront Grand Hotel, where both Lizzie and Keiron were getting ready (the huge bridal suite with seaviews is to die for!). I love the hustle and bustle of the morning, and Lizzie had her childhood friends as bridesmaids, continuing the traditional that they have all been each others bridesmaids over the years (cue tears!) Keiron then headed off to a pub in Pevensey with his friends and family on a Big Red London Bus (he’s from London), and Lizzie travelled separately on a lovely old green Southdowns bus with her dad and bridesmaids (and me).

They chose the wonderfully crumbly and old St Nicholas Church in Pevensey for the ceremony, which is right next to the Pevensey Castle ruins. Everyone then piled back onto the buses to travel to Eastbourne Pier for the reception in the Ocean Suite, which is at the end of the Pier and overlooks the sea!!!!!! It was an amazing, love-filled, fun and emotional day, and I hope the photos inspire anyone else considering a seaside wedding on Eastbourne pier, or anywhere in Sussex for that matter.
