If you’re dreaming of a laid back summer celebration, then an outdoor tipi wedding is the one for you! With total freedom to choose your own caterers, as well as stock your own bar, it gives you a lot more flexibility than a traditional venue wedding.
The wedding was held on the Green in Ditchling village, which is only a 15 minute drive from Brighton. The beautiful Nordic Tipi’s and bar were provided by Ditchling based Wildflower Events.
Ditchling Green is a great options for couples in Brighton wanting a countryside wedding. The barn is available to hire and has a small kitchen and toilets. The Green is also walled, and the tipi’s can be positioned to give privacy. You can also choose to have a church wedding in St Margaret’s Church of England right next to the Green, or choose to have a celebrant.
The food was excellent, barbecued beef and hot smoked salmon, both cooked outside next to the Barn to get everyone appetites going! The couple had chosen a new Ditchling vineyard Everflyht as their wedding English sparkling wine, and it was outstanding. This was Everflyht’s first small batch from their single estate, and they are already generating a lot of interest from wine experts.
Catherine and Edgardo’s wedding was a great example of choosing to support local businesses, including myself!
I work a lot with another Ditchling venue, Mac’s Farm, for both weddings and events on their farm. If you are interested in a farm wedding close to Brighton do check them out, then can offer you the Old Chook Shed for an indoor ceremony.
