Outdoor wedding ceremonies certainly carry an element of risky in this country, but the sun gods were shining down on Olivia and Chris for their outdoor Macs Farm wedding ceremony last September.
Olivia and Chris live in London but had attended one of Macs Farm summer events last year, and realised how wonderful it would be to hold their wedding on the farm. It is only 50 mins on the train to London to the nearest train station, Hassocks (2 miles away).
I’m very lucky to be one of Macs Farms preferred suppliers, both for weddings and also their events. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of dancing outside with the sun on your face and the buzz of everyone having a great time. An outdoor wedding at Macs Farm wouldn’t be complete with a little walk around the farm to see the chickens for some photos! The chickens are very friendly, and love to gather (and peck) at your feet. Great for the images, but not ideal when you have to bend down to take the shots and they started pecking on your behind as well. Their beaks are very sharp!
You can visit Macs Farm to buy eggs and say hello to the chickens Mon-Sat 9am- 12 noon, and there are lots of lovely walks across the surrounding fields and leading back in Ditchling.
